Other Work

This website was entirely created from scratch by myself, as a challenge to learn how to do so, and to make a portfolio of the specific style that I wanted.
It uses assets from a Cave Story inspired platforming game that I demoed in 2013. The engine was created from scratch, and had several enemies, a level editor, and a cutscene system.

Recently, I revisited ROBLOX, and created a game similar to Peggle.

In Monster Hunter World, I have created a program that batch-processes all the monster textures in the game, in order to randomise their appearance, to be used alongside a script that randomises quests. This has given me an extended knowledge of command-line interfaces, and general C# skills such as file processing.

I enjoy programming in limited scenarios. Early in programming class I was ahead of everyone, so decided to create games using the console. I ended up having a lot of fun figuring out how to draw graphics in a text based environment.

Another instance of limited environments is in my Electronics course in College I programmed a microprocessor in a form of Assembly to create a circuit board that replicates the Golden Claw puzzle from Skyrim.

In 2011 I entered the Ludum Dare 22, a 48 hour themed game making competition. The theme was "Alone".
I achieved a rating of around 180th out of 890 entries in the Fun category. I made a puzzle platformer where the core gameplay relies on that your character can pick up special explosive or jump boxes, and then throw them in a direction to do certain things.

I enjoy messing around creating interesting graphical effects using various libraries, in an assignment where I created a simple BOID flocking system, I edited it to make it create a cool randomly generating rainbow pattern.

I've made some things in Unreal Engine 4, and created a mock-up level for an assignment, where players must stand on certain pads to power a gem-collecting machine to then win the game by having the most gems.

There are many other projects not mentioned here, so ask me if you're curious!
